Air Separation: Carbon molecular sieves possess excellent adsorption properties, enabling the separation of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon from air. This technology holds significant value in industrial production, such as the generation of high-purity oxygen and nitrogen.

Gas Purification: Due to their high specific surface area and large pore volume, carbon molecular sieves can adsorb harmful substances-such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and methane-from gas streams, thereby purifying the gas. This technology is widely applied in fields like environmental protection and the chemical industry, including flue gas desulfurization and industrial tail gas treatment.

Liquid Separation: Carbon molecular sieves can also be used for liquid separation, such as in the separation and purification of petroleum. Their varying adsorption affinities for different substances allow for the separation of specific components within a liquid mixture.

Environmental Remediation: Carbon molecular sieves can adsorb and decompose air pollutants and harmful gases-including sulfur dioxide, nitrous oxide, ozone, and organic compounds like benzene-leading to their increasingly widespread use in air purification, oil and gas recovery, and water treatment.

Catalytic Reactions: Thanks to their high surface area, diverse functional groups, and tunable properties, carbon molecular sieves show great promise in the field of catalysis. For instance, they can serve as catalyst supports for the production of key chemicals and fuels; additionally, their microporous structure can be utilized to create highly efficient enzyme immobilization systems, thereby enhancing reaction efficiency and selectivity.
